Good morning
The first thing that strikes me is the way that the adverts dominate the site, I use a screen resolution of 1024x768 and the home page had no content on it until I scrolled down, all I saw was adverts and the cookie disclosure statement.
If I see a forum or site where the advertising is dominating the content I lose interest, advertising revenue comes when you have lots of users and lots of users come when you have interesting content.
I was also a bit disappointed by the number of “lazy posts”, for example the posts by WongaWoman in the House Buying selling and rent forum are just newspaper articles. It screams, we have nothing interesting going on here.
Have you seen the http://www.fool.co.uk/ - http://www.fool.co.uk/ where there is lots of content and as a result many of the forums have content because peoples mainly post on one forum but occasionally post on another.
I have a horrible feeling that the current range of topics is just too small and the posts on these subjects will just end up as “XYZ is rubbish” or “XYZ is brilliant” and not be worth anybody reading.
It appears that most of the user posts, rather than WongaWoman’s are negative on the subject of short term loans, so it may be an idea to consider changing the advertising. Instead of advertising financial products go for another theme or range of themes, “experience days” one week/month, then health drinks and products.
Sorry if this sounds negative.
Bye
Ian
