Does anyone know which settings you need to setup to check, send and receive emails when using the Apple IPad?
The hosting account in question is on Web Wiz, so if someone can maybe share the answer here in this topic, that would be good

Thanks

There two options. You can use the standard SMTP and POP3 settings uising the SSL options listed on the page below and the mail server host "mail.websitelive.net".

Or the better option is to purchase the Exchange ActiveSync Add-on from the Client Area which will allow you to have 'Push' email with the IPhone/IPad so you are immedtaly lotified when you receive an email. The Exchange ActiveSync will also sync in real-time any calendar events and contact with the webmail service.

I use the ActiveSync service myself with my Android based phone and Tablet and find it really good as you get instant notifications of emails and updating calendar or contacts on my PC, Phone, Tablet, or Webmail instantly updates on all devices.

@WebWiz-Bruce

Your second option for the Exchange ActiveSync Add-on - is this the best option if I want the web-login (which I shall not use often), outlook 2010 (64 bit) and my iPhone all sync'd together with incoming and outgoing messages?

Thanks

The Exchange ActiveSync Add-on makes syncing much simpler with email, contacts, and calendars and as it use 'push' technology updates are immediate rather than waiting for your phone to 'poll' the server again to see if there are any changes.

The page below has more on the Exchange ActiveSync for SmarterMail:-
