AspUpload is support,m you just need to select it from the admin area.
Also, make sure your host has set the correct read, write, and modify, permissions on the upload directory.

The full title is Persists AspUpload but often referred to as just AspUpload and Persists are the software company who make the component.
1&1 use Persists AspUpload, but 1&1 are not a good web host and their support staff haven't a clue.
What is the error you get when you attempt to upload? You may need to turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE to get an accurate error message.

Really need the details of the error message as this will tell what the actual problem is as the first part is just a generic error message to inform the user in a nice way that there is a problem.
