I have purchased the aspupload for the newspad. I have the key for it which i used during the installation, when i try to insert an image i get this error

Persits.Upload.1 error '800a003f'

Invalid registration key.

/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 97

Do i need to place the key on /functions/functions_upload.asp, line 97 ? If so what should the code look like?

You enter the license key when you install AspUpload on the server, you do not need to enter it in to Web Wiz NewsPad.

The error is coming from the AspUpload component and from an online search it shows that this error means that the trail for AspUpload has expired and a valid license key is required.

If you have just installed AspUpload with the new license key try restarting IIS and see if that clears the error as this will unload the old version of AspUpload and load in the new one.

If you are still having problems applying your license for AspUpload I would recommend contacting Persists AspUpload support who should be able to help you apply your license key.

One other question. It looks as though any image I upload is going to the Path: /uploads folder. Is there any way to upload images to a sql database?

I saw the info on the aspupload site already. I followed those instructions and it works for there forms but not the image upload for the news pad

It is not best practice storing images in a database as it makes databases overly large and slow, as well as adding extra resource and page loading times when displaying a page that includes images from a database.

It is best practice, much faster and less resource intensive storing the file name in the database and the image in a folder.
