Hi

Im thinking of takeing out a forum host and i need a little info first

i have a forum on my own server and use my own domain name i
noticed when going through the ordering  that i can use my own domain name
the problem is i don't want to take my forum offline untill my rented one from you
is fully running and i made all the ajustments. so will be unable to use my domain name
yet.

how would i get round this?

i would like to use my domain name once the new one is identical to the forum i have allready
if you get my point?

regards
popeye

Your domain name would only point at our network from the time you update the name servers for the domain to our own.

This allows the domain name to be setup on our system ready for when you want to go live. You also have a second domain in the format of yourDomain.com.activeboard.net that can be used to test the forum before you point your domain at our network.

When you signup enter the domain that you will use for your forum, this will allow us to setup the domain and it's services on our network.

Once you are happy everything is ready you simply update the nameservers for the domain and it will migrate across without any down time.
