1) The bad words filter is limited to words with no spaces. I would like the ability to filter for phrases. 2) I would like the ability to control the posting on a per user basis. The anti-flood system is currently on a system wide basis. I don't want to totally lock out some users, but I do want to limit their posting to X number of times per hour.

The trouble is that just what phrases would you pick? It would be so incredibly lucky to actually think oh yes posters will post this phrase in this order and without spelling errors

Members can bypass almost anything with on-purpose mis-spellings, special characters, etc. so you will NEVER catch them all, even with SINGLE words! But a phrase-filter would be nice. I can think of a couple that are used in the states that I'd like to block........... No filter will ever be 100%, be it for words or phrases, but some options would be a nice touch if it's possible.

My forum is a used for supporting a subscription model web application. What I am trying to do is to eliminate the use of my competitor's name, which is made up of two common words.

The bad word filter does support phrases, it also supports regular expressions in the latest version for even more powerful search and replace.
Just enter your competitors name as the bad word and what you want to replace it with.
eg. Bad Word Replacement My Competitor -> My Competitor sale broken parts

Bruce:
I see that now. I overlooked it previously.
The inclusion of the RegEx is brilliant.
THANK YOU!
